Wellness Resource Nurse (RN)
Join a multiple award‑winning, luxury senior living community where wellness is intentional, proactive, and deeply person‑centered. At The Mather in Tysons, the Wellness Resource Nurse plays a vital role as a holistic wellness navigator and trusted partner for Independent Living residents, supporting health maintenance, personal wellness goals, life transitions, and overall wellbeing within a vibrant, engaging environment. This is a unique opportunity to practice nursing in a way that emphasizes connection, guidance, and empowerment rather than traditional bedside care.
Designed for an experienced RN who thrives in relationship‑based work, this role centers on education, coordination, coaching, and thoughtful problem‑solving. Guided by the Person‑Centric Wellness Model, the Wellness Resource Nurse builds meaningful relationships with residents and families, offering individualized wellness consultations, group education, and workshops informed by current health research and Mather Institute initiatives. The role also serves as a key connector—partnering with interdisciplinary teams and coordinating a broad network of allied health, counseling, alternative therapy, and caregiving providers to ensure seamless, high‑quality wellness support.
Through collaboration with Resident Engagement, Art Therapy, Social Services, and other psychosocial teams, the Wellness Resource Nurse helps shape integrated wellness experiences that foster independence, confidence, and quality of life. By supporting residents through change, facilitating interdisciplinary conversations, and using insights and data to evolve offerings, this role directly contributes to a community culture that honors autonomy, purpose, and holistic wellbeing. For nurses seeking a non‑clinical, mission‑driven role in an innovative, luxury wellness setting, this position offers meaningful impact, professional fulfillment, and the opportunity to redefine what nursing can look like.
