Creative Engagement Manager
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Creative Engagement Manager who will enhance resident wellness and implement innovative engagement strategies. This role involves developing a vibrant community atmosphere by curating an engaging program calendar, managing resident communications, and launching impactful initiatives that highlight the value of artistic expression in later life. The Creative Engagement Manager will design wellness offerings that resonate with residents and collaborate closely with residents, families, and community partners. Utilizing therapeutic engagement techniques, the Creative Engagement Manager will empower resident-led initiatives, art groups, and community programs. This position is full-time, salaried, and located on-site at Mather Place in Wilmette, IL. Some weekends and flexible scheduling required for special events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Implements Culture of Creativity model: Create a variety of creative engagement opportunities through music, art, movement, and writing, facilitating therapeutic arts experiences with support from the Engagement Coordinator, contractors, and volunteers
- Fosters engagement: Encourage participation through programs that spark curiosity and promote intergenerational connections and civic engagement.
- Manage Communication of Offerings: Share program offerings using an engaging monthly calendar and vibrant flyers to keep residents informed.
- Oversee Engagement Coordinator: Lead the Engagement Coordinator to ensure successful delivery of innovative programs.
- Identifies individuals and organizations for relationships with Mather: Collaborates with Director of Engagement in developing and utilizing key external partnerships that support resident engagement, including intergenerational partnerships, collaboration with cultural and academic partners, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required:
- Master’s degree in Art Therapy or Expressive Arts Therapy & holds Clinical Professional Counselor License.
- At least 2 years providing art therapy for older adults with knowledge of both clinical and community/open studio practice.
- Exhibits extensive knowledge of diverse art materials and other expressive modalities and their applications with older adults.
- Knowledge of positive psychology in aging and adapting engagement & wellness offerings to support aging in place.
- Experience in older adult group program design and facilitation.
The salary range for this position is a good faith estimate of the range Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual wage paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, geographic location and market changes. Holiday Bonus eligibility, where applicable. The position is also eligible to participate in Mather benefit plans.
Salary Pay Range
$62,200 - $74,000 USD
