We are seeking a dedicated Driver who will play an essential role in delivering exceptional transportation services to residents and guests of Mather Place. In this highly visible, service‑forward position, you will create meaningful moments by demonstrating Nextraordinary behaviors while ensuring every ride is safe, comfortable, and timely. As a trusted ambassador of our community, you’ll uphold rigorous safety standards, maintain our vehicles with care, and support seamless, reliable transportation that enhances daily life for those we serve.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm, Sundays 7:30am - 3:30pm, alternating Sundays and Fridays off

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Safely and efficiently transport residents in Mather vehicles.
Complete required vehicle safety inspections prior to each trip.
Maintain vehicles, mechanically and aesthetically, according to maintenance schedule and as needed.
Maintains a daily check log, service log, and other pertinent records.
Works to continually improve scheduling and transportation service to maintain on-time performance within a reasonable margin, weather permitting.
Identifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required:

Valid CDL Motor Coach, Non-business Type C or Type A with Passenger Endorsement drivers’ license with excellent driving record.
Customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills. Preferred:
Chauffeur or courtesy bus driving experience.

The hourly base wage range is a good faith estimate of the range Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual hourly base wage paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, geographic location and market changes. The position is also eligible to participate in Mather benefit plans and Employee Appreciation Fund.

Hourly Pay Range

$20 - $21.50 USD

Mather Place is an independent living rental community for those 62 and better, located in the heart of Chicago’s North Shore in Wilmette, Illinois—a short walk from Old Orchard shopping center. Mather Place includes 179 independent living apartment homes, as well as two restaurants, a fitness center, an art studio, a library, and more.
