Senior Post Producer - Freelance FTC (NY, NY)

About this role: 

FINISH is seeking a Freelance FTC Senior Post Producer from now until December to join our growing Post Production team. This person will play a critical leadership role, managing the day-to-day operations of our post production pipeline while ensuring excellence in delivery, communication, and team management across all projects. The Senior Post Producer will be the connective tissue between creative, production, and client services—keeping projects moving, budgets on track, and teams aligned.

Oversee the execution of all post production projects from award through final delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance

• Manage and mentor a team of producers, coordinators, editors, and other post staff—both full-time and freelance
• Lead client communications, reviews, and approvals throughout the post process
• Partner with the Sr Director of Post Production to optimize workflows, systems, and vendor relationships
• Resource and schedule projects based on internal and external availability, proactively managing conflicts and reassignments
• Track project budgets, estimates, and actuals, flagging any financial concerns to leadership and managing scope changes
• Maintain relationships with key clients, vendors, and freelance talent across editorial, design, color, sound, and VFX
• Collaborate with Creative Directors and Client Service team members to maintain client satisfaction and encourage repeat business
• Implement and uphold best practices for version control, delivery specs, and archiving
• Identify and help onboard new post talent (freelance and staff) as needed

What you will bring:

• 6+ years of experience in post production, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead producer role
• Strong background in managing editorial, motion graphics, VFX, color, and sound workflows
  Proven track record of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Confident communicator who can lead client conversations, internal stand-ups, and cross-functional teams
• Expert in tools like Frame.io, Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, and post scheduling platforms
• Highly organized and solution-oriented under pressure
• Experience working with advertising agencies, brands, and high-volume content production preferred
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, creative, and fast-paced environment

Monthly Compensation: $9,000-$10,000/month
