
AI-Native Digital Builder
Mattermost is seeking an AI-native digital builder who treats the website as infrastructure — not a marketing brochure. We are evolving our web platform toward a modern, static-first architecture powered by a headless CMS, Git-based workflows, and AI-accelerated systems.

You will operate and continuously improve the digital platform that powers Mattermost’s growth — including the website, automation workflows, and digital infrastructure supporting marketing programs. This is a hands-on builder role, where you will execute daily work while improving the systems behind the execution.

to ensure Mattermost’s digital infrastructure supports demand generation, pipeline growth, and enterprise credibility.
What You’ll Do
Website Platform Ownership
Operate and improve the Mattermost.com growth platform, running on a modern headless CMS and static site architecture. Responsibilities include:

Managing content and landing pages in the headless CMS

Launching campaign landing pages quickly using reusable templates
-
Maintaining structured content models and page components
-
Supporting website builds and deployments within Git-based workflows
-
Using preview environments to validate changes before publishing
-
QA releases for performance, accessibility, conversion logic, and analytics tracking
-
Troubleshooting minor frontend issues (HTML, CSS, layout)
-
Supporting experimentation on page structure, messaging, and UX
You should be comfortable operating in an environment where:

Content is managed in a CMS
-
The site deploys via CI/CD pipelines
-
Changes are versioned in Git
Note: You do not need to be a full-stack engineer, but you should be comfortable working within modern web infrastructure.
AI-Driven Digital Workflows
Design and implement systems that make digital marketing faster, smarter, and more scalable:

Build AI-assisted workflows for page generation, SEO analysis, performance monitoring, and content optimization
-
Integrate AI tools into digital operations
-
Design repeatable workflows that reduce manual marketing work
-
Create AI-supported processes for landing page creation, metadata generation, and experimentation analysis
-
Support AI-driven experimentation across web pages and campaigns
You should be able to describe:

AI tools you actively use

Automation workflows you’ve built

How those workflows improved speed or outcomes
Automation & Marketing Systems
Build automation systems connecting our website with the broader marketing stack:

Build automation workflows using n8n, Zapier, Make, APIs

Connect website systems with Salesforce, Marketo/Pardot, 6sense, Qualified

Automate reporting and operational tasks
-
Reduce manual work across marketing operations
-
Design repeatable digital workflows
You think in systems, not one-off fixes.
Conversion Optimization & Digital Growth
Help improve how visitors move through the Mattermost website and funnel:

Improve landing page performance
-
Optimize demo request and conversion flows
-
Identify friction in user journeys using analytics
-
Design and run conversion experiments
-
Support demand generation programs with high-performing landing pages
Optimization is a continuous system, not an occasional project.
Digital Analytics & Measurement
Ensure digital systems are instrumented correctly and producing usable insights:

Manage analytics instrumentation (GA4, GTM)
-
Maintain accurate event tracking and tagging
-
Support funnel and conversion analysis
-
Automate reporting workflows where possible
-
Ensure clean integration between website and marketing systems
Required Qualifications
-
3–6 years' experience in B2B SaaS digital growth, web operations, or technical marketing
-
Experience operating marketing websites using CMS or headless CMS
-
Familiarity with modern web architectures (static sites, Git workflows, CI/CD)
-
Solid understanding of website fundamentals: schema, tagging, internal linking, crawl/indexing, page performance
-
Hands-on experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager
-
Demonstrated use of AI tools for production workflows
-
Experience building automation workflows using n8n, Zapier, Make, APIs
-
Proven experience improving conversion, digital performance, or discoverability
-
U.S. citizenship required — this role may require obtaining and maintaining a U.S. government security clearance in the future

Mattermost takes a market-based approach to pay, and compensation may vary depending on your location in Canada. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
