Maven is looking for a strategic Director of Recruiting to lead our high-performing team across technical, business, executive, and clinical hiring. In this role, you’ll design and execute a comprehensive talent strategy that fuels our growth – implementing scalable, data-driven practices to attract top talent. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will be a key partner in shaping how we build teams, bringing a fresh, critical lens to streamline processes and optimize every stage of recruiting as we navigate Maven’s next stage of growth.
As a Director of Recruiting at Maven, you will:
- Develop and implement a global talent strategy to support Maven’s next phase of growth.
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary and distributed recruiting team across technical, business, clinical, and sourcing functions.
- Bring a critical, analytical perspective on current recruiting processes, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement, and introducing scalable, best-in-class solutions.
- Use data-driven insights to refine processes, drive innovation, and test new, creative recruiting strategies.
- Focus on operational excellence, maintaining high standards for yourself, your team, and peers.
- Partner with leadership to drive strategic planning, headcount forecasting, and capacity planning
- Collaborate with hiring and executive leaders to implement impactful talent initiatives that shape how Maven attracts and hires top talent.
- Ensure the right tools, systems, and infrastructure are in place to support a robust talent strategy.
We’re looking for you to bring:
- 12+ years of recruiting experience in high-growth companies with previous experience in engineering or technical recruiting
- 5+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record of building, leading, and developing top-performing recruiting teams
- A strong viewpoint on recruiting processes across technical and non-technical hiring, with the ability to identify gaps and implement improvements that scale with the company.
- Demonstrated experience operating successfully in a dynamic, startup environment, willing to flex between strategic leadership and hands-on execution as needed.
- Expertise across the full recruiting lifecycle, with a strong focus on scaling processes efficiently.
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of how recruiting drives and impacts organizational success and goals.
- A passion for leading, motivating, and coaching teams – with a commitment to building a diverse and inclusive team
For candidates in NYC, the base salary range for this role is $210,000 to $240,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive stock options and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
This role is only open to candidates in the NYC-metropolitan area and will require you to be in-office for 3 days each week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). While flexibility will always be core to Maven’s policies, we also believe in the power of in-person connection. Our hybrid work policy was created with both principles in mind.
This role requires active work authorization in the US.
