Graduate Trading Summer Internship 2026 - Amsterdam

Over the course of 9 weeks, you’ll get the day-to-day experience as a Trader at Maverick Derivatives. During this intership, which consists of hands-on project work, training sessions and workshops led by experienced traders, social activities and much more. This program prepares you for your next step to become a Graduate Trader in one of our trading teams. You will work on one of our trading desks with traders, developers, and other teams. If you demonstrate to be a good fit, you will be invited to join us as a full-time Graduate Trader after the program! The program kicks off on July 1st, 2026.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis projects on financial markets;
  • Perform in-depth quantitative analysis to support trading strategies;
  • Provide insightful coverage on the latest news and developments;
  • Support the trading team in various ad-hoc projects.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • You have the right to work in the Netherlands, and preferably, you are already located in the Netherlands.
  • You are full-time available between July – August, and free to transition to a Graduate role from September onwards. 
  • You are a recent graduate or graduating in 2026 and have an academic background in a STEM subject or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python for data science and automation.
  • Solid grasp of options theory concepts and a keen interest in options trading.
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A detail-oriented person who consistently delivers work with accuracy and diligence.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with SQL.

The Interview Process

  • Aptitudes & Programming Assessment (Duration: 70 minutes); 
  • Introductory Interview (Duration: 30 minutes);
  • Technical Interview (Duration: 1 hour)
  • In-house assessment day
