Production Scheduler
Primary Responsibility:
Production Scheduler will analyze, process, and monitor incoming sales orders, review job suggestions, schedule and release production jobs to meet customer demands and translate them into a technical packet of information for processing through manufacturing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze routings to ensure the system reflects actual production processes and identify critical and special characteristics required to facilitate manufacturing efforts
- Pre-screen manufactured non-stock orders once completed and processed by Engineering to determine components availability ahead of production scheduling
- Review and process MRP-generated job suggestions and schedule labor and machine capacity to maximize efficiency and production throughput to meet customer needs and company objectives.
- Work with Production leadership to review and prioritize load group schedules
- Generate and assemble job packets for those components produced in-house
- Facilitate or lead a “production meeting” where the latest status of orders is input into system dashboards
- Process technical manuals
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of production environment experience required
- Proficiency with standard scheduling software and productivity suites (Epicor, etc.)
- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
Other Candidate Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions
- Willing to work in a variety of environments, including the office and production floor
- Basic knowledge of problem-solving skills and critical thinking (this function will be solving non-normal situations every day)
Physical Requirements
- Position located in Oklahoma City, OK
- Sit/stand/walk 8-10 hours a day
- Able to wear personal protective equipment (if entering designated manufacturing areas)-safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc
- Reaches by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
- Required ability to use finger and hand dexterity to manipulate objects and lift 25 pounds
- Vision ability within normal parameters
- Hearing within normal range
- Coordination to step over and maneuver around obstacles
