Intermediate Accountant

We’re looking for a Intermediate Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Intermediate Accountant will be responsible for preparing documentation, coordinating with our business partners out in the UK, and full-cycle accounting.

This role requires someone who has developed strong accounting fundamentals within an external accounting firm or multi-client environment and understands structured month-end processes, documentation rigor, and deadline accountability.

While technical skills are important and can be further developed, we place significant weight on communication maturity, professionalism, and a strong team-oriented mindset.

This position works directly with UK business partners. Exceptional written communication skills and the ability to operate confidently in an external-facing environment are essential.

 

What you’ll do:

International Partner Coordination

  • Coordinate with UK business partners during renewal and invoicing cycles
  • Reconcile purchase orders to CRM and billing records
  • Manage invoice queries professionally and promptly
  • Ensure timely follow-ups and collections
  • Operate effectively across time zones

Systems & Reporting

  • Manage accounting in QuickBooks Online
  • Oversee payable approval workflows and payment processors
  • Work across SaaS systems (Maxio, SaaS Metrics, advanced billing platforms) and CRM (Maximizer)
  • Reconcile records across multiple platforms to ensure data integrity
  • Build reports using Excel and other tools available
  • Demonstrate strong technical agility and systems thinking

Full-Cycle Accounting

  • Own the month-end close process
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain clean supporting schedules
  • Assist in financial reporting preparation
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation
  • Other accounting /administrative tasks

 

What you’ll bring:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field
  • Technical proficiency with QuickBooks Online
  • Demonstrated ownership of month-end close
  • Strong adaptability to technology
  • Systems-oriented and comfortable learning new SaaS tools quickly

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Externally trained with structured accounting foundation
  • Experience in an external accounting firm or multi-client environment strongly preferred
  • Strong documentation discipline
  • Comfortable working across time zones
  • High ownership and accountability
  • CPA designation (or in progress of obtaining CPA)

Salary Range

$70,000 - $85,000 CAD
