Product Manager
About the role:
We are building the CRM and AI operating system for wealth management — and to do that, Maximizer has to become the single source of truth for a client's financial picture.
That picture is scattered. An advisor with 200 to 3,000 clients has investment data sitting in custodians, back-office platforms, and sometimes their firm's own data lake, while policies live in systems never designed to be read by anyone else. Advisors stitch it together by hand, or not at all. Every source you open changes that — for every advisor on our platform, on the day it goes live.
This is the rare product role where the hard part is genuinely unsolved. Some of these systems have clean APIs. Some have nothing at all, and getting data out of them takes invention.
We care more about what you know than what your last title was. You need to be the person who can walk into an undocumented system and come out with clean data. This role could be a fit for former Integration Consultants, System Architects, Wealth Operations IT staff, and more
What you'll do:
Bring the data in
- Own the roadmap for getting wealth and insurance data into Maximizer — from custodians, back-office and wealth platforms, aggregators and exchanges, carriers, MGAs, and more.
- Build integrations into enterprise customers' own data lakes, and make them repeatable rather than bespoke each time.
- Define the canonical schemas — accounts, holdings, transactions, policies, coverage, beneficiaries — and own the mapping from each source's format into them.
- Choose the right acquisition method per source: API, SFTP or batch file, secure automated capture where no API exists, and a well-designed upload path as the fallback.
- Own data quality end to end — matching records to the right client and household, reconciliation, freshness, and what an advisor sees when a feed breaks — and the security and compliance posture behind it.
Open new sources, a few at a time
- Run each new source as a pilot: find the right people, learn what data exists and how it can be reached, prove it on a small scale, then decide whether to build for scale.
- Support leadership in partner conversations — evaluate feasibility, work through partner specs, and size the effort. Leadership owns the relationship and commercial terms; you own the judgment on what is buildable and what it is worth.
- It helps if you have exposure to any of the following: NBIN, Fidelity Clearing Canada, Croesus, Univeris, Dataphile, NDEX, Fundserv, APEXA, iPipeline/WealthServ, Wealthica, or Flinks.
Turn it into product
- Own the adjacent product areas where this data surfaces, so integrations become visible value rather than a plumbing project.
- Run discovery with advisors and head offices, write clear specs, and work hands-on with Engineering through delivery.
What you'll bring:
- 3–6 years driving integrations in B2B SaaS or financial services — as a product manager, consultant, implementation lead, systems architect, integration analyst, or solutions consultant.
- Experience driving new integrations with external partners end to end: opening the conversation, working out what data is available, agreeing how to get it, and seeing it through to live.
- Skill navigating stakeholders on both sides — partner operations, security, and legal teams externally; engineering, compliance, and leadership internally.
- Real fluency with data structure and movement — schemas, mapping, normalization, reconciliation, APIs, batch and SFTP feeds, authentication. You do not need to write the code, but you can read a partner spec and hold your own with engineers.
- The ability to lead without authority, and comfort with ambiguity: many of these sources are undocumented or inconsistent, and you will set direction anyway.
- Nice to have: familiarity with how investment or insurance data moves in Canada — custodians, back-office and wealth platforms, carriers, and MGAs. Useful, not required.
Why you should apply:

📚 Budget for courses, books, and personal development
