Maybell Quantum Industries, Inc. is a venture-backed quantum computing startup focused on designing and building the hardware for quantum systems. Maybell Quantum is seeking an experienced business operations hire to help build out our people function. Our ideal team member is a hands-on individual who has experience working across the talent cycle, and is excited about building out the functions and process that will strengthen our talent function. They are self-motivated with strong communication skills and can work well in teams and individually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership

    • Partner with the executive team to develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with business objectives
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design, change management, and workforce planning
    • Drive strategic talent initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent

    HR Operations & Compliance

    • Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee relations
    • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across all operating locations
    • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation
    • Manage the HR budget and resource allocation

    Organizational Development

    • Design and implement learning and development programs to enhance employee capabilities
    • Lead succession planning and career development initiatives
    • Facilitate organizational assessments and implement appropriate change management strategies
    • Build leadership capacity through coaching and development programs

    Culture & Employee Experience

    • Shape and maintain a positive workplace culture aligned with company values
    • Develop and execute employee engagement strategies
    • Design and implement recognition programs that celebrate achievements and reinforce desired behaviors
    • Lead initiatives to enhance employee wellbeing and work-life balance

    Data & Analytics

    • Establish key people metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs
    • Leverage data to inform strategic decisions and demonstrate ROI on people investments
    • Implement HRIS and other technology solutions to streamline HR processes
    • Provide regular reporting on workforce trends and insights to leadership

Requirements:

  • 10+ years HR generalist experience
  • Startup/high-growth environment background
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience with HRIS implementation
  • Track record of building scalable HR processes
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field

Base Salary Range: $120-160K with additional compensation in bonus and equity
