We are seeking an experienced Director of Hardware Manufacturing to lead our production efforts as we scale our quantum computing hardware manufacturing capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring extensive manufacturing leadership experience, preferably with complex hardware systems, and will be passionate about building the infrastructure that will power the quantum revolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategy and processes across our different manufacturing lines
- Lead and grow the manufacturing team, establishing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth transition from R&D to production
- Establish KPIs and metrics for manufacturing efficiency, yield, and quality
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and drive efficiency in manufacturing processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in hardware manufacturing management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred
- Proven track record scaling hardware production from prototype to volume manufacturing
- Experience with precision manufacturing, assembly of complex electronic and mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of supply chain management and inventory control
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
- Strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in advanced technology fields
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems
- Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related disciplines
