Maybell Quantum is seeking an experienced Production Technician. Our ideal team member is a hands-on individual who has experience consistently following a set process, recording data, and contributing to equipment and workspace improvements. They are self-motivated with strong communication skills and can work well in teams and individually.    

Role:  

As a member of the production organization, you will work closely with the team to build Maybell’s dilution refrigerators. You will be responsible for the manufacturing of the product to ensure that it meets design intent and specifications.  As well as maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment.  

  • Efficient production of our Dilution Refrigerator 
  • Utilize careful attention to detail throughout production tasks 
  • Collaboration with the Engineering, Quality, Science, and Qualification teams
  • Provide feedback to improve quality, safety, and productivity
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting  
  • Support Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and validation of subassemblies and final product

Required Skills and Experience:  

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment  
  • Experience fabricating complex and/or delicate mechanical assemblies  
  • Experience operating production equipment
  • Ability to interpret and follow Standard Work Instructions and Quality Standards
  • Use of hand tools and calibrated measurement tools (caliper, tape measurer, multimeter)
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Jira) and fundamental math skills
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing Concepts (5S, Kaizen, SMED, Kan Ban, Gemba)
  • Safety-oriented mindset 
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Do it right the first time mindset
  • Open to working second and third shift schedules

Desired Skills and Experience:  

  • Experience with high precision measurement systems (Vacuum and Sniffer Leak Checking)
  • Experience with operating scientific equipment
  • Experience with tube fittings (KF, CF, VCR, Compression, Aeroquip) a plus
  • Experience with reading Process and Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Experience with Pumps, Pressure Gauges, Pressure Tanks, Flow Meters, and pneumatics
  • Experience with Welding, Soldering, and Brazing a plus
  • Experience in a Start Up culture and R&D environment
  • Experience with production of laboratory equipment, cryogenics equipment, or robotics a plus
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Physically able to lift and carry 50lbs

Base salary $20-30/hour
