Product Marketing Manager
Product Marketing Manager
At Maybell Quantum, we’re redefining the future of computing. As a venture-backed quantum hardware innovator experiencing rapid growth, we’re building technology that will transform industries for decades to come. Quantum computers will be as transformative to the next 30 years as the internet was to the last 30—and our team is creating the hardware foundation to make this revolution possible.
Position Overview
We're seeking a technically fluent, ambitious Product Marketing Manager to join our commercial team. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role built for someone who is early in their career but exceptional at what they do—someone ready to take on real responsibility, grow fast, and build toward leading our marketing function.
You'll define how Maybell's technology is positioned, differentiated, and communicated to the market. You'll translate complex cryogenic, RF, and quantum infrastructure solutions into compelling narratives that resonate with technical buyers, executive decision-makers, government stakeholders, and strategic partners. A technical foundation—whether from your education, your products, or your customers—is essential. We work at the frontier of physics and engineering, and you'll need to go deep to tell this story well.
You'll partner closely with Sales, Product, and executive leadership to accelerate market adoption, strengthen our brand, and build scalable commercial messaging as Maybell enters its next phase of growth. For the right person, this role is a direct path to Head of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Positioning, Messaging & Category Leadership
- Develop differentiated messaging, value propositions, and market narratives across Maybell's product portfolio.
- Help define how the market understands cryogenic infrastructure, quantum enablement, and next-generation compute infrastructure.
- Convert highly technical engineering concepts into clear business outcomes for commercial, government, and research audiences.
- Build persona-based messaging for technical users, procurement teams, executives, and strategic partners.
- Track KPIs around messaging effectiveness, content performance, and sales enablement impact — and use them to improve.
Content, Field Marketing & Market Presence
- Own product storytelling across website content, social media, whitepapers, technical collateral, customer presentations, videos, and launch materials.
- Develop and execute field marketing programs, including customer site visits, lab demonstrations, and hands-on showcases of Maybell's hardware capabilities.
- Build and manage key customer engagement programs that deepen relationships, accelerate evaluation cycles, and generate referenceable wins.
- Partner with Sales and Engineering to develop compelling demo narratives that translate product capabilities into concrete customer value.
- Identify and cultivate lighthouse customer relationships that can serve as proof points for the broader market.
- Drive conference strategy, speaking opportunities, product announcements, and hands-on technical programming at industry events.
- Position Maybell executives and technical leaders as category voices through thought leadership content and speaking platforms.
Commercial Enablement & Revenue Support
- Build and maintain sales decks, battlecards, objection-handling tools, customer case studies, and competitive positioning materials.
- Partner with Sales on major opportunities, proposals, executive presentations, and customer communications.
- Identify messaging gaps across the buyer journey and improve content that supports pipeline progression.
- Support pricing and packaging communications to ensure clear market positioning.
- Build scalable launch frameworks and content operations as the commercial team grows.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitors, adjacent technologies, and market shifts — and translate findings into actionable positioning recommendations.
- Gather voice-of-customer insights from customers, prospects, partners, and field teams to sharpen messaging and strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related technical or scientific field.
- 3–6 years of product marketing, technical marketing, or go-to-market experience — we care far more about the quality of your work than the number of years.
- Experience marketing technical products to sophisticated buyers (enterprise, government, or research); deep-tech, hardware, semiconductor, or scientific instrumentation backgrounds are a strong plus.
- Ability to go deep on technical subject matter — you don't need a PhD, but you need to be comfortable learning the physics and engineering behind our products.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for making complex ideas clear and compelling.
- Comfort operating with autonomy and ambiguity in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment.
- Demonstrated desire to own and build — not just execute someone else's playbook.
What We Offer
- Competitive Compensation: Base salary range $110,000–$150,000, with performance-based incentives and meaningful equity participation.
- Growth Trajectory: Significant opportunities for professional development and executive growth in a rapidly scaling organization.
- Impact: Direct influence on the commercial success of a company developing revolutionary technology.
- Exceptional Team: Collaboration with world-class scientists, engineers, and business leaders who are defining a new industry.
- Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), flexible PTO, and more.
At Maybell Quantum, we’re solving incredibly challenging problems at the cutting edge of physics and engineering. If you’re excited about building revenue for one of the most transformative technologies of our lifetime, we want to hear from you.
