Product manager

Mayfair is looking for a Lead Product Manager to help us expand our offering from a singular product to a comprehensive suite of products that will make Mayfair become the default corporate cash management provider. In this role, you will work alongside the founders to define the product roadmap and partner with engineering and design to turn that roadmap into reality. The ideal candidate has a history of successfully launching products from the ground up (0->1), possesses a strong intuition of our customer’s needs, uses data to drive their decisions, and has a technical background.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Translating the company’s vision and objectives into a well-defined, actionable product roadmap
  • Overseeing every phase of the product lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping, through design and development, to launch and post-launch assessment
  • Writing detailed product requirements and working closely with engineering counterparts to convert them into comprehensive technical specifications
  • Managing a continuous backlog of features and improvements, ensuring prioritization aligns with the current business objectives
  • Playing an active role in the development process by leading QA testing prior to releasing anything to production
  • Proactively communicating product plans and performance to all stakeholders, including teammates, customers, and partners
  • Collaborating with the distribution team to coordinate product launches
  • Fostering a culture of accountability by ensuring teammates, partners, and you set and adhere to aggressive yet realistic timelines
  • Tracking and analyzing product usage against business metrics, and using these insights to inform future product improvements

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in the fintech industry
  • Have a large portfolio of products that are you have directly helped successfully launch
  • Have enough technical knowledge to write detailed requirements for engineering and can query a database to make data-informed decisions
  • Have a tendency to approach problems from first principles
  • Have exceptional organizational skills, including organizing and directing cross-functional teams, and prioritizing resource allocation
  • Have a fantastic communication skills: concise and precise, with the ability to put yourself in the other person’s shoes and realize how you need to explain a concept for it to make sense to that person
