We are a collaborative mid-sized agency with an immediate opportunity for a Vice President, General Manager, Media Relations, serving as the day-to-day media lead across a major CPG/personal care company!
What You’ll Bring:
- 10+ years of experience working with personal and family care brands and relationships with media that covers them. Beauty experience is a plus!
- Strong experience in building thoughtful media relations strategies that go beyond block and tackle and obvious solutions
- Ability to guide clients, teams and creative partners toward solutions resulting in better earned-media outcomes for activations and announcements, when that is the goal.
- Strong POV on media results and expectations, including realistic and stretch goals, outputs and measurement
- Strong presenter able to “read the room” and make a case for strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional time management skills necessary to drive media efforts across multiple brands simultaneously.
- The collaboration and accountability necessary to “own” media results while closely partnering with account and creative leaders to ensure overall team success.
- Passion for people leadership and excitement about playing a leadership role within a growing media-relations team.
- Experience in management and mentoring of junior team members, elevating media aptitude across teams.
- A daily news habit that includes beauty and lifestyle media and the curiosity and creativity necessary to connect clients to the trends of the day, when appropriate.
- Ability to provide feedback to teams with a “yes, and” mentality, providing clarity and builds on how to make ideas more media worthy.

Our Flexible Work Policy:
We believe that our best work happens in a hybrid working environment. If you are in the NYC (or commutable surrounding distance) hub we want to see you in person 2 days a week. That could mean in our office, in our client's office, on the road with them or attending an industry event.
For those outside the NYC hub, you will be asked to be in person too. Examples of this may include client meetings, events or team meetings. There will also be in person opportunities for you to connect with others who live in your hub to collaborate and work together.
