Position
Analyst or Senior Analyst, Strategic Analytics - Freelance to Perm Opportunity
The Analyst or Senior Analyst supports the Strategic Analytics team in measuring earned media, influencer, and digital marketing campaign success against clients’ brand and business objectives. They will build relationships with brand teams, present to clients, and support new business pitches and will use social, site, mobile, and search analytics tools to inform strategy and messaging approaches. They will make actionable recommendations that inform and optimize program performance.
Candidates should be critical thinkers who possess excellent communication and data storytelling skills, both written and verbal. They should possess an exceptional ability to clearly explain complex concepts to audiences of all knowledge levels. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate an understanding of the digital marketing landscape, marketing strategy, and marketing best practices.
This is a freelance position with the opportunity to convert into a full-time role.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of professional experience in business, advertising, communications or a related field
- Familiarity with marketing performance metrics and an understanding of how they relate to business results
- Comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data including unstructured sources such as social media conversations, news articles and online search results
- Ability to work and learn independently, and to manage multiple tasks within established deadlines
- Strong communication, collaboration, data visualization, and presentation design skills
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Knowledge of digital marketing landscape, marketing performance measures, marketing strategy, measurement strategy, and marketing best practices
- Ability to craft a narrative from data and present it clearly, simply, and convincingly
- Experience with multiple analytics tools and analyses, in particular: social listening tools (e.g. Talkwalker or Brandwatch), social media analytics / ad platforms (e.g. Meta Ads Manager), site analytics (Google Analytics), and SEO / GEO (e.g. SEMrush)
- Hourly budget is $60/hour for Analyst or $75/hour for Senior Analyst
Location: Remote or in the New York office
Our Flexible Work Policy:
We believe that our best work happens in a hybrid working environment. If you are in the NYC (or commutable surrounding distance) hub we want to see you in person 2 days a week. That could mean in our office, in our client's office, on the road with them or attending an industry event.
For those outside the NYC hub, you will be asked to be in person too. Examples of this may include client meetings, events or team meetings. There will also be in person opportunities for you to connect with others who live in your hub to collaborate and work together.
