Senior Associate, Multicultural Media Relations

SENIOR ASSOCIATE – MULTICULTURAL MEDIA

About Us:

We are a collaborative mid-sized agency with an immediate opportunity for a Senior Associate (SA) to join our Media team as a multicultural media specialist. Health equity is at the center of all we do, and deeply integrated into our media practice is the ability to effectively reach and resonate with diverse audiences, including but not limited to Black, Hispanic/Latino, AAPI, and LGBTQIA+ communities.

As a Sr. Associate (SA) on our media team you will work closely with the VP of Media to drive strategy and implement media plans for our Public Affairs, Pharmaceutical and Biotech health clients. You’ll play a critical role in crafting integrated programs; imbue your expertise earning culturally resonate coverage; lead and inspire junior staffers; and, most importantly, work with very talented, collaborative and passionate teams.

We’re not your typical agency. In fact, we don’t want to be. At M Booth Health, we take pride in doing what’s right, not what’s easy. Asking difficult questions and finding unexpected answers. Pushing ourselves and our clients to think bigger. Moving beyond imposed limits to break through and create real connection.

We live our brand promise: Choose to Challenge. We're built to help organizations and brands challenge norms, drive results and improve the health and lives of those who need it most.

We believe health communications can change the world. Why? Because we’ve done it before. We’ve been at the forefront of advancing some of the most urgent issues in public health and medicine for decades. Our teams are purpose-built to challenge the status quo and drive results–both for our clients and for the health and well-being of people around the world.

M Booth Health is a dynamic team of agency veterans and new talent with a broad range of backgrounds to match our diverse client mix, which comprises leaders in public health, health care delivery and advocacy, pharma, biotech, device and diagnostics, health tech and payors.

What You’ll Bring:

We want people who are just as passionate about health as we are. People who are serious about the work, but not too serious to have some fun while doing it. Candidates who bring big thinking and even bigger ambition, who are willing to push boundaries and challenge norms. And most importantly, who lead with kindness and humanity above all else. Does that sound like you?

For this role, we’re looking for a natural leader and exceptional practitioner. You’re passionate about the power of communications to improve people’s lives. You possess an understanding of the full spectrum of media relations – from the importance of media strategies; to pitching and landing positive, impactful coverage; to helping spokespeople deliver messages with impact.

The SA is responsible for driving creation of daily account deliverables, and managing and mentoring junior members. This means working collaboratively with teams to produce and present best-in-class work for a range of materials including media strategies, media pitches and lists, interview backgrounders, talking points, and key messages and presentations, among others. You can think creatively about how to land stories with impact, counsel clients on the value of more inclusive media strategies and deliver results. The SA also will engage in agency-wide initiatives, including agency marketing and new business activities.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
