Position Overview
The Guest Experience Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring seamless front of house operations at McAdams' headquarters office in Raleigh. As the first point of contact for visitors, this role represents the McAdams brand professionally and efficiently, acting as a key liaison between McAdams and our clients, external partners, and team members. Highly qualified candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating an ability to anticipate the needs of our visitors and team members while balancing competing priorities; ideal candidates will be relationship-driven, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and will continually seek opportunities to elevate McAdams' front-of-house experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an elevated front-of-house experience that makes clients, colleagues, and visitors feel welcomed and respected.
- Act as a proactive problem-solver to quickly and professionally resolve issues related to front-of-house operations.
- Cultivate positive relationships with external vendors and building maintenance staff; coordinate vendor services and reception area/common area maintenance.
- Facilitate front-of-house logistics: manage incoming and outgoing parcels, maintain conference room schedules, prepare conference rooms for internal and external clients, troubleshoot conference room technology issues, and maintain stock levels of office/postage/kitchen supplies.
- Coordinate with other corporate team members to execute client and employee events: place food orders, set up event areas or conference rooms, send event invitations, manage event "head counts," and assist with event breakdown.
- Maintain a clean and organized appearance in all reception and common areas of the office; ensure that all areas are functional and well stocked with appropriate items (such as fresh coffee, snacks, and office supplies).
- Provide additional support to McAdams’ leadership team, Executive Assistant or other corporate teams as needed.
Skills + Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent credentials.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume client or guest-facing environment (such as hospitality, restaurant management, retail management, or a professional office setting).
- A demonstrated ability to anticipate client or guest needs, resolve challenges, and prioritize competing tasks.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for exceptional guest experiences.
- Proficiency in using office technology (such as conference room and video conferencing technology) preferred.
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite.

- Work will primarily be in an office setting with limited opportunities to be exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
- Work will involve sitting, standing and walking as well as include common hazards encountered while maneuvering through the office.
- Work will be primarily working with fingers by picking, pinching, typing, and grasping often with repetitive motion.
- Must have visual acuity for viewing a computer screen, the ability to talk, hear and sit for extended periods of time.
- Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, reach, grasp, sit, stand and walk.
- Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
