Clean Air Duct Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Clean Air Duct Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining residential HVAC duct systems, helping improve indoor air quality, system efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has experience in residential HVAC, duct cleaning, construction, or a related field and is comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review daily work schedule and ensure truck is stocked with cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Inspect residential ductwork and HVAC systems to identify areas requiring cleaning or service.
  • Clean air ducts, vents, registers, and related HVAC components using professional duct-cleaning equipment.
  • Safely operate vacuums, air compressors, brushes, blowers, and other hand and power tools.
  • Set up and operate duct-cleaning equipment according to company procedures and safety standards.
  • Protect customers’ homes, furniture, flooring, and belongings while performing work.
  • Follow proper cleaning procedures to remove dust, dirt, debris, and other contaminants from duct systems.
  • Identify and communicate potential ductwork or HVAC concerns to the customer and appropriate team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Follow all company safety standards and keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Provide professional, courteous service and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Prior experience in duct cleaning, HVAC, construction, insulation, painting, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and teamwork skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working independently and in customers’ homes.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Work Environment: 

Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust. Reasonable accommodations may be made to perform essential functions.
