Good people. Good work. Great opportunities.
McCullough Robertson is a commercially focused firm, working with high-calibre national and international clients. We work on big matters in small teams, approaching each day with dedication and professionalism.
We provide exceptional opportunities for our employees to perform, grow and succeed through extensive training and career development. Our teams work together and support one another to achieve individual, team and firm-wide goals.
Backed by a national team of over 400 staff located in Brisbane, Sydney, and Canberra, McCullough Robertson is a big firm, without the attitude.
The Team
McCullough Robertson’s Real Estate Group is renowned for its exceptional ability to seamlessly integrate deep industry knowledge, technical expertise, and bold innovation to make deals happen and deliver outstanding results for clients.
Our team provides strategic advice across a wide spectrum of projects including urban development and renewal, greenfield developments, master-planned communities, retail and industrial precincts, and commercial ventures.
We excel in negotiations, due diligence, acquisitions and sales, joint venture agreements, structured titles, master-planned developments, leasing, licensing, commercial agreements, and project conveyancing. With a proven track record of delivering practical solutions, we are trusted partners in bringing ambitious real estate projects to life.
The Role
This is fantastic opportunity for a junior lawyer to gain broad exposure across all areas of our property practice. You will work on commercial conveyancing, as well as commercial and retail leasing matters, for a diverse client base that includes property trusts, private owners, and both national and regional landlords and tenants.
In addition, the role includes advising developers on mixed-use, residential, and commercial projects, including Greenfield subdivisions. You will also support private clients and body corporates on a range of property-related matters and will also be involved in acquisition and disposal work.
Experience
We are seeking a motivated and capable property lawyer with two or three years of post-admission experience, ideally gained within a mid to large-sized commercial law firm. You will have a genuine interest in developing your career in property law and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal work.
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and possess the confidence to work autonomously while also contributing collaboratively within a close-knit and supportive team environment.
You will bring strong technical abilities, including well-developed drafting and research skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to client service. A professional and commercial mindset, combined with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain strong relationships with clients will be essential to your success.
