The Clinical Educator coordinates training for MCG clients, working closely with client representatives to provide customized clinical and technical training. The Clinical Educator, while adhering to industry standards of excellence, employs various adult learning and training methodologies to deliver models to meet the unique needs of each client and all learners.

This role primarily serves Basic and Standard clients that are typically single-site payor/provider organizations with low to medium-complexity solutions, including CareWeb and interactive systems.

You Will:

  • Possess a deep understanding of MCG Health's software solutions, guidelines, and products to support Basic and Standard clients.
  • Assess the client's current operations and recommend workflows that support effective and maximized use of MCG solutions.
  • Update, revise, and manage training programs, materials, and documentation such as user guides, reference materials, and FAQs for comprehensive training support.
  • Communicate clinical concepts and software functionality to healthcare professionals with varying levels of expertise.
  • Partner with Basic and Standard clients, Care Strategy, and Account Management to develop customized education plans.
  • Engage clients in the learning process through the collaborative development of annual or ongoing education plans.
  • Tailor training programs to meet the unique needs and workflows of healthcare facilities and professionals, ensuring they can effectively integrate MCG Health's solutions into their practice.
  • Assess and identify opportunities for expanded use of licensed MCG solutions.
  • Serve as an advocate for MCG Health's customers, conveying their needs and concerns to the product development team and assisting in prioritizing feature requests.
  • Conduct webinars, workshops, and educational events for healthcare organizations and individuals. This includes both on-site and virtual training.
  • Design training curricula tailored to different healthcare roles, such as physicians, nurses, case managers, and/or utilization review specialists.
  • Author written training proposals and training summaries to define the scope and outcome of training.
  • Partner with Clinical Educator II, Senior Clinical Educator, and/or Principal Clinical Educator mentors to perform general management of clients, feedback on presentation/training, escholar webinars, client calls, developing an education plan or other duties.
  • Identify potential risks to successful solution implementations and collaborate proactively with other MCG teams to improve success.
  • Participate in education initiatives conducted by Principal Educators in areas such as Reviewer Statistics 
  • Dashboard (RSD), Customer Value Initiative Reporting (CVI), System Admin, or other tools and software.
  • Stay current with clinical research, industry developments, and healthcare best practices to enhance the quality of training content.
  • Monitor individual dashboards to achieve adherence to departmental metrics.
  • Support a culture that reflects all virtues of the Ideal Team Player.

What We're Looking For:

  • Associate’s degree in nursing required.
  • Active, current, and unrestricted RN license in a state or territory of the United States required.
  • Three years of experience as an RN in an acute care setting required.
  • Five years’ experience in and advanced knowledge of utilization management, case management, or disease management required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%-70% of the time to client sites and MCG-sponsored events.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations/Permits:

  • Active, current, and unrestricted RN license in a state or territory of the United States required.
  • Active and current Case Management Certification preferred.
  • ATD Master Trainer or Certified Technical Trainer Professional (CTT+) or equivalent preferred or obtained within 24 months of employment.
  • MCG Care Guidelines Specialist certification obtained within 24 months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in health plan operations preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare-related training or education preferred.
  • Familiarity with EHR and/or Medical Management Systems such as Epic, Cerner, Allscripts etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Webex, and Zoom preferred.
  • Proficiency in navigating ambiguous and dynamic healthcare environments, demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven track record of effectively engaging with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds

Pay Range: $86,100 – $120,500
