From day one, you will take ownership of meaningful recruiting work that advances our business. You'll learn by doing, supported by thoughtful mentors and teammates who take pride in helping you elevate your contributions. You’ll work across functions, develop strong judgment and communication skills, and gain the leadership capabilities required to shape how McMaster-Carr attracts, selects, and develops great talent.

What You’ll Do
As part of our recruiting management team, you will do work that matters. Over time, you’ll grow into a leader who brings out the best in others and drives results across the company. Your work might include:
Improve how we find and attract talent
Leverage data, insights, and tools—including emerging AI capabilities—to identify talent pools, assess sourcing channels, and develop strategies that elevate the quality and efficiency of our recruiting efforts.
Redesign candidate experiences
Streamline touchpoints from application to offer—eliminating friction, improving communication, and ensuring a high-quality, human-centered experience at every step.
Strengthen hiring decision-making
Partner with leaders across tech, operations, publishing, customer solutions, and distribution to clarify hiring needs, design effective assessments, and guide teams toward consistent, evidence-based decisions.
Lead cross-functional recruiting initiatives
Collaborate with teams in HR tech, business operations, and leadership to define ambiguous problems, align stakeholders, and implement process improvements that scale company‑wide.
Build the team of the future
Recruit and assess candidates who thrive in complex environments by evaluating problem‑solving ability, curiosity, adaptability, and long-term potential—the same attributes that have powered McMaster-Carr’s success for over 120 years.

Cash Compensation
- Starting base pay is $133,000
- Total cash compensation is generally around $165,000 to $180,000and includes a profit sharing based on company profitability.
- Includes a signing bonus and relocation stipend
