McNees, Wallace & Nurick is actively seeking a Summer Law Clerk to join our Estate Planning Group. At McNees, we believe our people are our greatest asset. We foster a culture of integrity, innovation, and collaboration - where your ideas matter, and your contributions make a real impact.
McNees Summer Law Clerks receive real-world legal experience and meaningful exposure to a variety of assignments from their assigned practice group. Summer Associates are also invited to firm events and networking opportunities and are provided mentorship from current McNees attorneys.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of legal topics
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents
- Assist attorneys on various projects and assignments – both billable and non-billable
- Observe client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings as appropriate
- Maintain organized files and documentation related to assigned projects
- Perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Second year law student pursuing a J.D. at an accredited law school
- Interest in trusts and estates and fiduciary litigation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, driven, and detail-oriented
