Plant Manager
KEY TASKS:
- Planning and executing manufacturing budgets; responsible for achieving/ exceeding Gross Margin
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customers’ expectations
- Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility
- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Allocate resources effectively, fully utilize assets to produce optimal results and maintain inventory levels
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Monitor operation expenses to reduce costs while maintaining product quality and trigger corrective actions
- Analyze workforce requirements and necessary production capacities
- Implementing best practice
- Lean Manufacturing
- Continuous Improvement
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Cross-cultural experience
- Automotive supplier experience
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation)
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
- Strong knowledge and commitment to plant safety procedures and its absolute execution
- Target group-oriented communication
- Must be able to motivate employees to keep operations running smoothly
- Strong ability to be adaptable and flexible
- Outstanding willingness to work and performance enthusiasm
- Must be able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in solving it, such as identifying defects in the production line.
- Face production deadlines, shipping dates and more and must manage their time accordingly.
- Leadership qualifications: Ability to create accountability, lead by example, Encourages team work, Ability to motivate people, develop employee skills and to share a trusting relationship with workgroup, w.c. and recruit, manage and develop plant staff
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
EDUCATION:
- Engineering degree
- Proven more than 10 years working experience in automotive industry, including at least 4 years proven experience in a managerial position
