M&D Capital is a leading third-party Medical Billing and Revenue Cycle Management company serving clients across the United States. We operate offices across multiple states, along with a growing international team. We specialize in out-of-network surgical claims, and partner directly with our clients to ensure the maximum reimbursement for their services. We are currently seeking a Chief Data Officer to join our rapidly growing team. This is a full-time, in person position located in Queens, New York.
Position Overview:
The Chief Client Offi cer (CCO) is seeking a highly analytical and execution-focused Special Projects Lead to support critical revenue and operational initiatives. This role serves as a tactical extension of the CCO, helping lead cross-functional projects that require investigation, coordination, and follow-through across multiple teams.
The individual in this position will analyze claims and operational data to uncover revenue opportunities, investigate the root causes of claim denials, and translate insights into practical solutions. They will manage a portfolio of special projects aimed at improving operational performance, resolving complex revenue cycle issues, and ensuring initiatives move from discovery through implementation.
By synthesizing complex information, coordinating stakeholders, and maintaining ownership of project outcomes, this role ensures that key initiatives are executed efficiently and deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Research
- Identify and research clusters of denied claims that fall outside standard patterns, particularly when expanding into new markets, states, or specialties.
- Use claims and operational data to proactively surface trends, breakdowns, and emerging revenue cycle issues that require deeper investigation or focused intervention.
- Synthesize complex findings into clear, concise summaries that support timely and informed leadership decisions.
Special Projects Management
- Drive multiple concurrent, high-impact projects from initial discovery through testing, implementation, and follow-through.
- Investigate root causes of revenue loss or denial patterns, develop practical solutions, and validate those solutions through controlled testing before broader implementation.
- Track project progress across stakeholders, remove bottlenecks, and ensure initiatives continue moving forward without constant executive involvement.
- Ensure validated solutions translate into operational change by confirming billing workflows, protocols, and processes are updated and consistently adopted across relevant teams.
Team Collaboration
- Serve as an extension of the Chief Client Officer in project-related discussions with office managers and internal stakeholders.
- Translate the CCO’s objectives into actionable direction for project stakeholders and ensure initiatives are executed accordingly.
- Drive accountability, follow-through, and alignment across contributors to ensure projects reach completion in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Billing, or Healthcare Analytics is required. A strong command of the terminology and concepts related to claims and denials is essential.
- Highly self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong commitment to seeing projects through to completion and the ability to independently drive towards established objectives without requiring constant supervision.
- Ability to comfortably engage with executives and effectively manage-up managers while maintaining a direct and clear communication style.
Pay Range
$100,000 - $140,000 USD
