Job Description:
Meade has a job opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer III who understands or is interested in learning programming. The scope of projects will include data centers, industrial buildings, offices and other high-profile construction projects. This role will be highly collaborative amongst Meade staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines. Travel to job sites may be required for site observations and client meetings.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for designing electrical systems and performing design calculations.
- Review, signing and sealing of projects.
- Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, preparation of record drawings, site visits, inspections and participation in commissioning work.
- Writing and editing of electrical equipment specifications, selecting equipment, electrical systems and devices.
- Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines and on budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Valid Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience in load planning and programming a plus.
- Coding experience a plus.
- Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects.
- Experience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
- Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power system, including interactive generator controls systems.
- Experienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred.
- Experienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives.
- Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team.
- Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is available to candidates residing in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, FL, GA, IN, MI, MO, NV, OH, OK, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV. Compensation and benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and may vary based on location and applicable laws. The pay range for this position will be provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs.
The estimate pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Virginia: $113,000-$137,000
- Washington: $124,000-$154,000
