Maintenance Parts Clerk
The Role:
The Maintenance Parts Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing parts requisition, and ensuring the availability of critical maintenance components. This role will support the maintenance team by tracking parts usage, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining a well-organized parts storeroom. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and has experience in inventory management or parts supply in a maintenance or industrial setting.
Responsibilities:
- Track and maintain inventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies. Perform routine cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and reconciliations.
- Place orders for parts and supplies as needed. Work with maintenance personnel to identify critical spares and expedite parts when necessary. Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts and supplies. Verify shipments against purchase orders and ensure accuracy of deliveries. Properly label and organize parts in the storeroom for easy identification and retrieval.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including parts usage, stock levels, and purchase orders. Utilize inventory management software to update records and ensure data accuracy.
- Assist maintenance personnel in identifying, locating, and retrieving required parts. Ensure that the maintenance team has timely access to necessary components to minimize equipment downtime.
- Coordinate with vendors to manage lead times, order status, and warranty claims. Work closely with the procurement team to resolve any issues related to part deliveries or quality.
- Adhere to safety standards and ensure that all parts and materials are stored and handled safely. Maintain the storeroom in a clean and organized manner.
- Support the maintenance department with additional administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Coursework in inventory management or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in parts management, inventory control, or a similar role, ideally within a maintenance or industrial setting.
- Skills:
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to lift and carry parts and supplies up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with maintenance terminology and industrial equipment is a plus.

Compensation: $20.50 - $24.50 per hour depending on experience
Shift: A1: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm
