Commercial Category Manager
The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Commercial Category Manager to join our fast-growing team. This role will be instrumental in developing and managing our product categories to drive growth and profitability. As a critical link between product development, marketing, and sales, the Commercial Category Manager will analyze market trends, understand consumer behavior, and execute category strategies to strengthen our position in the alternative protein market. This is hybrid position, requiring onsite a minimum of three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement category strategies that align with company goals and drive business growth.
- Define product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to maximize category performance.
- Market Analysis & Insights:
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to identify opportunities and risks.
- Leverage data to inform product development and positioning decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to launch and promote products effectively.
- Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure product availability and efficient distribution.
- Customer & Retailer Relationships:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners to optimize shelf placement, promotions, and category performance.
- Collaborate with sales teams to present category insights and recommendations to customers.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor category performance and provide regular updates to leadership, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
- Utilize KPIs to measure the success of category initiatives and adapt strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in category management, product management, or a related role, preferably within the food industry.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Proven success in driving category growth and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Passion for sustainable food solutions and innovation in the food industry.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $135,000 annually, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for a potential annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
