THE ROLE
We are looking for a results-oriented and creative Data Engineer to join The MLC Data Platform Team. You will join a growing team working on our Data Platform in a fast-paced, friendly environment. The Data Platform function enables The MLC to obtain intelligence from its ever-expanding dataset .
As an Engineer of The MLC Data Platform Team, you will implement, and maintain data pipelines, BI and reporting tools in alignment with the organization’s data strategy , as well as ensure continuous stability, high availability, and performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years’ development experience using multiple programming languages
- Demostrable experience of working on Large datastores, using Big Data Techniques
- Understanding of ETL and orchestration tools such as Prefect, Airflow, Dagster.
- Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code, ideally with Terraform
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
AS A DEVELOPER YOU WILL
- Implement and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines
- Be familiar with Software Development best practices such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
- Deploy your code on various platform
AS A MEMBER OF THE TECHNOLOGY TEAM YOU WILL
- Work in an Agile environment and participate actively in team ceremonies and collaborative planning.
- Be adaptable to change and able to deal with ambiguity
- Be able to seek resolution when confronted with technical challenges.
