THE ROLE
The Human Resources Coordinator will support and administer many of the Human Resources programs for The MLC. The scope will be broad to support HR Administration (time & attendance, onboarding, etc.), HR initiatives, compliance training, and special projects. This role will work with the Human Resources Manager and People team to handle day-to-day responsibilities as well as create new ways to further promote the culture.
QUALIFICATIONS

· Two to Three years of work experience in a related Administrative/HR field required, including part-time, summer and/or internship experience · Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred · Related industry experience preferred · General understanding of local and federal employment laws such as FMLA, ADA, and FLSA preferred · Above average skills in basic Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint; must be at ease with simple formulas, pivot tables and creating graphs · Strong listening and comprehension skills · Strong attention to detail and organizational skills · Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work efficiently · Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information · Experience with payroll system/HRIS is a plus |
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

ADMINISTER HUMAN RESOURCES COMPLIANCE BY: · Ensuring follow up and tracking of various HR administrative responsibilities, such as maintaining employee files, processing employee information updates, assisting in processing time records and other payroll related items, and assisting with audit needs · Staying current on state and federal regulatory changes that impact the organization; assist in providing updates and reports monthly and quarterly |

ADMINISTER HUMAN RESOURCES SUPPORT BY: · Partnering with Recruitment Specialist in hosting and leading new hire orientation, onboarding, and Summer Internship program · Leading virtual and in person trainings and/or meetings · Ensuring accurate data entry in various HRIS platforms (EAF, PEO, Asana, etc.) · Planning and implementing logistics for new hires, exit meetings, HR team meetings, including room reservations, technology set-up, and follow-through of action item, as needed · Providing on-site support during employee events as needed
FURTHER THE COMPANY CULTURE BY: · Using effective employee relations practices to foster a culture of inclusion with our guiding principles; assist in establishing ways to collect team feedback.
