Job Summary
The Director of Clinical Onboarding is a nurse practitioner with experience in a long-term care setting who provides hands-on, bedside training to newly hired NPs during their first week of employment. Training consists of traveling to client facilities on the new NP's start date to provide support and to review the clinical training program. The Director of Clinical Onboarding plays an integral role in Infinite Medical's goal of preparing our nurse practitioners to provide necessary and compassionate care to the residents of our client’s facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead bedside training initiatives for Nurse Practitioners and Physician’s Assistants during their first week of employment in a Long-term care setting
- Coordinate with Onboarding, Clinical Education, and Clinical Operations to ensure that new providers are onboarded appropriately, trained, and prepared to provide excellent care to the facility's patients
- Travel to client facilities to provide bedside training, and ensure that the provider adequately completes the training checklist
- Escalate providers who are unprepared or who need additional training back to Clinical Education
- Act as a resource for providers to answer questions and act as the face of Infinite Medical/MedElite for new providers on their first day
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner License
- 1 year+ experience in a Long-Term care environment as a Nurse Practitioner
- Long-Term Care Administrative experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Comfortable with traveling for work up to 100% of the time
