Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Audiologist to join our growing team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and manage hearing and balance disorders for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This position offers the opportunity to deliver patient-centered audiologic care while improving communication, safety, and overall quality of life for a geriatric population.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry
- Diagnose hearing loss and balance-related conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Fit, program, and maintain hearing aids and other assistive listening devices
- Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding hearing health and device use
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and care teams
- Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and infection control standards
- Travel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) required
- Current state Audiology license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
- Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings strongly preferred
- Experience working with hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Strong clinical, organizational, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and patient-care abilities
- Comfortable working with the geriatric population
- Ability to travel as needed
