Role
We’re looking for a Senior Producer for our office in Sydney who will be responsible for the flawless execution of Apple advertising campaigns from start to finish. This role blends project management with hands-on production.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing timelines, resources, and budgets while producing campaigns at the level of creative excellence required for our client.
This role is a tailor-made for a maker; someone whose passion lies in bringing work to life and sharing it with our audience.
Responsibilities:
Production
- Lead all aspects of the production process from testing through final production including pre-pro meetings, casting, shooting, recording, editing, music, optical, colour, effects, and final client approval.
- Play an active part in the creative development process from a production perspective — vet possible executions but also contribute creatively-stimulating production opportunities by suggesting new technologies, inspirational directors or brand appropriate influencers.
- Be the main point of contact for the LA production department. Obtain project status updates and disseminate them as necessary through the hub. Provide a clear communications channel back to LA production and account teams.
- Work closely with the business affairs team to ensure all legalities, compliance and clearance matters are managed effectively.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of key external vendors, including production houses, directors, influencers, recurring talent, photographers, developers, location scouts, talent and casting agents, insurers.
Project Management
- Manage creative projects from briefing to delivery, ensuring these are adequately staffed and progressing along according to specific timelines.
- Maintain a comprehensive project view and develop detailed schedules. Ensure these are clearly communicated to all stakeholders throughout the project.
- Set realistic expectations and proactively chase and interrogate delays.
- Partner closely with the account teams to keep a day-to-day, running knowledge of all ongoing and upcoming briefs, and associated timelines.
- Facilitating and scheduling creative reviews and project meetings within the team, as well as across the regional and global hubs as needed.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and efficiencies in our processes; suggest and implement solutions
Who will thrive in this role?
- Substantial relevant experience working in-house or production agencies with an inherent understanding of the functions within a creative agency.
- Proven experience in delivering the highest level of advertising campaigns for A-list multinational clients.
- Substantial experience in all aspects of production, including live action, digital, social, content, print and art buying.
- Practical experience in rights management, Intellectual Property, contracting, licensing and negotiating content.
- Information security experience, namely vendor management security.
- Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Someone who shares values for high standards, possesses creative ambition and who is a team player with a sense of collective purpose.
- Process-driven and task-orientated, with a passion for organisation, prioritisation and successful delivery of tasks and projects.
- Proactive communicator — comfortable holding firm lines when needed but always looking for ways to adapt and to provide solutions.
- A pragmatic and natural problem solver, able to think quickly on their feet and adapt to whatever the production process throws at them.
- A person willing to get their hands dirty and who draws satisfaction from going the extra mile for the good of the work.
- Remains calm under pressure with the ability to see the big picture while also focusing on the smallest detail.
- A collaborator and influencer with the ability to effectively integrate with a few different departments, across multiple time zones.
