People Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented, passionate, dynamic, and experienced People Manager for a full time position within our Human Resources team. The People Manager will be the main HR contact across mediasmart and will report directly to the CEO, working very closely with the leadership team and with other HR teams internationally from other Business Units at the Affle Group.

Summary & Duties
The People Manager will manage the day-to-day HR topics, ensuring smooth running of HR policies and programs, while being a strategic coach for Top and Middle management providing guidance on an ongoing basis. He or she will support the development of talent throughout the company and manage the full employee lifecycle to help each of our employees reach their maximum potential within the organization and ensure the work environment reflects the company values. The People Manager will embrace an agile approach to developing, delivering and driving continuous improvement across all people and culture initiatives.
The People Manager must work closely with the Head of Finance as well as with other team members of the HR teams overseas as well as the different central functions, such as Marketing, Sales, Client Services and Tech functions.
Below are some of the core responsibilities and requirements we envision for the role, which will be located in Madrid (hybrid mode):
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, according to local legal requirements as well as the business needs with appropriate fit to mediasmart culture and values.
- Coach managers and team leads to support them in all Talent Management related activities, ensuring smooth running of teams, including individual development and succession planning.
- You will count with the support of a Talent Acquisition team from Affle for hiring. You will work as partners, providing guidance and advice in cultural and legal aspects.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring ongoing improvement of current processes and practices.
- Identify individual and team needs, with a strategic vision, to customize training and development programs accordingly.
- Hold responsibility for all employee relations matters (including supporting and guiding managers on all disciplinary matters), maintain all employee records, and work with our external payroll agency to ensure all documents and policies are in line with current legislation and best practices, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Provide all the necessary support from a HR perspective for mediasmart to successfully complete all quarterly and annual audits.
- Coordinate the organization of company events, meetings, and employee recognition programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Ideally, the candidate would have 5 years minimum of experience working as a HR Generalist in a start-up environment with international exposure.
- Must be fluent in Spanish, both oral and written.
- Must be fluent in English, both oral and written, as this is the language used for interaction with most of our team members and the business language for all our tools and documentation.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams is a must.
- Proficiency using Excel and Google sheets is required.
