Senior Data Scientist

Argentina - Remote

Summary & Duties

As a Data Scientist in our CTV-Sync technology team, you will play a key role in developing our platform, responding to client inquiries related to the day to day performance of our campaigns, as well as collaborating with our CTV and backend teams in building a top product. Your responsibilities will span the entire product lifecycle, and will involve not only data science but machine learning and feature engineering, contributing to a top of the market algorithm and DS innovation platform

What you will do:

  • Research and development of DS initiatives to our cross device performance engine
  • Perform scientific exploration and analysis of algorithm improvements
  • Communicate accordingly to stakeholders: our senior DS staff, the CTO, other Affle DS units, as well as the CTV engineers and performance specialists.
  • Be part of a unit where technology is valued: CD/CI, DevOps, flat hierarchy, learning and training opportunities and a culture of innovation.
  • Your work will be used in production to serve millions of requests per second, with response time measured in milliseconds. Your team  works with best of the grade code standards and review practices. Your code and ideas will be responsible for millions of real time bidding auctions generating millions of dollars on revenue  distributed cloud regions over the globe.
  • Participate in discussions on analytics and model architecture, contribute to design reviews for data and ML workflows, and take part in peer code reviews.
  • Participate in resolution of client tickets such as but not limited to investigations for performance problems, coordination of tests and new features, or providing coaching and support for non DS knowledgeable engineering staff.
  • Participate in analysis and bug fixing of the ongoing issues presented by our clients represented by operations, performance,  or sales teams.
  • Be an active data scientist and coder in our team.

Requirements

  • +4 years of experience as a Data Scientist.
  • Relevant experience in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Physics, or other quantitative fields.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with our current Data Science Stack: Python (3.9+) and Scientific/ML Python stack (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit learn)
  • Experience working with ML technologies and building model training pipelines end-to-end.
  • Experience working with relational databases.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written, as this is the language used for interaction with most of the stakeholders and the business language for all our tools and documentation.

Optional requirements

  • Hands-on experience with ML frameworks or model deployment tools like ONNX, TensorFlow, Docker or MLflow.Knowledge of big data environments, in particular using Google BigQuery
