Associate Business Development Director, iNSIGHTS   

Location:  Eastern or Central US, Remote or Hybrid working  

Inizio Medical brings together individuals with unique experience across corporate communications, medical affairs, market access, patient engagement, digital innovation, data science and analytics, and publications to provide fully integrated strategic support across biopharma and life sciences.   

 We’ve seen robust growth on our Real-World iNSIGHTS team and have a fantastic new opportunity for an Associate Business Development Director as part of MEDiSTRAVA Specialized Services (part of Inizio Medical).  

The Role 

We’re seeking an individual who is a driven and curious Associate Business Development Director to drive new account growth and support business development across Inizio Medical’s Real-World iNSIGHTS (RWI) suite of products. The RWI team specializes in subscription healthcare provider (HCP) insight gathering for life-sciences companies that are innovating across healthcare with new treatments, diagnostics, and medical devices. RWI programs are attended by community and rural HCPs in the US and regional providers across the world. Pharma companies can subscribe to RWI programs to learn valuable insights from HCPs who are frequently left out of pharma clinical development. Successful candidates will be curious, independent thinkers who can initiate and drive strong partnerships among pharma industry professionals. Our team is unique, encouraging, and above all, collaborative – if you’re interested in exploring what’s possible with RWI and have experience in business development for medical communications, we’re ready to listen.  

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Proactively identify and initiate new business discussions among pharma medical or sales/marketing teams who could benefit from MEDiSTRAVA’s suite of products and services (Real-World iNSIGHTS, advanced analytics, digital engagement, etc) 

 

  • Relationship building – identify and cultivate relationships with decision-makers in pharma understand their needs, and position the agency’s services accordingly  

 

  • Coordinate, track, and lead the development of tailored proposals, RFIs, and RFPs 

 

  • Strategic planning: Analyzing competitive landscapes for specific disease states and translating market trends into actionable campaign strategies for MEDiSTRAVA’s suite of services 
  • Cross-functional collaboration: work with scientific strategy, medical-writing, creative, publications, and account teams to ensure proposals and delivery align with client needs and agency capabilities 

Ideal Candidate Profile 

 

  • Experience in business development roles within medical, healthcare, or pharma corporate communications  

 

  • Comfort and familiarity with client-facing roles: prior experience with HCP insight gathering or advisory boards in an agency role is essential; experience with CME or third-party (subscription or syndicated) insight gathering is preferred  

   

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills – the ideal candidate will have a natural aptitude for both listening and speaking to diverse audiences (industry professionals, HCPs)  

 

  • Strong strategic thinking and experience in medical communications or pharma required to understand market trends and client preferences  

 

  • Undergraduate or graduate emphasis in the life-sciences is preferred but not required – candidates will be evaluated based on their individual interests and experiences

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. Compensation

$130,000 - $150,000 USD
