Business Development Associate

Job Summary

The Business Development Associate plays a fundamental role in achieving our revenue growth objectives by supporting and working collaboratively with Business Development Directors (BDs). Successful candidates should have superior organizational skills, attention to detail and enjoy learning in a fast-paced sales environment. Candidates must be comfortable managing and prioritizing competing requests from multiple Business Development Directors. This role is best fit for a competitive, entrepreneurial spirit, with a drive for results and a little bit of quirkiness!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build quotes and generate contracts, order forms and proposals from Salesforce 
  • Develop concise, accurate, and necessary contracts for our clients, working with cross-functional teams as needed (e.g., Project Management, SMEs, Data Sciences) to ensure accurate pricing and the appropriate Medrio or partner products
  • Ensure details of fully executed order forms are accurately reflected in Salesforce including pricing, products, payment schedule and study details
  • Communicate with Finance on applied discounts and/or legacy rates
  • Process and route opportunities accordingly once contract agreements are fully executed 
  • Manage, update, maintain, and record all relevant activities in Salesforce for the assigned Business Development Directors to ensure pipeline accuracy
  • Utilize Salesforce and other digital tools to perform daily job functions and maintain accurate record keeping
  • Ensure details of fully executed work orders are accurately reflected in Salesforce including pricing, products, payment schedule and study details
  • Assist and support BDs by monitoring past and upcoming contract end dates
  • Communicate and follow up with customers to deliver and execute change orders and study extensions in a timely manner
  • Manage and prioritize requests from multiple BDs, ensuring all tasks are followed to completion

Education and Years of Experience:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven inside sales experience or equivalent customer interaction
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Must be a self-starter, able to self-motivate and work with minimal supervision

Must bring a creative approach to problem-solving, always looking for better ways to do things, devising process improvements that make Medrio more efficient and easier to do business with.

Salary Range: £45,000 - £50,000
