CRO Partner Marketing Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic CRO Partner Marketing Manager to drive growth through our Contract Research Organization (CRO) partner channel. This role is critical to achieving our ambitious booking targets by strengthening existing CRO relationships, identifying new partnership opportunities, and creating innovative marketing programs that drive mutual value. You'll work at the intersection of partnership development, channel marketing, and business development to maximize revenue from our CRO ecosystem. 

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Development & Management

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for 15-20 key CRO partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CRO business development, marketing, and clinical operations teams
  • Create partner-specific value propositions and go-to-market strategies
  • Conduct regular business reviews with CRO partners to assess performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Negotiate co-marketing agreements and partnership terms

Channel Marketing Programs

  • Design and implement joint marketing campaigns with CRO partners including webinars, conferences, and thought leadership content
  • Develop partner enablement materials including sales tools, case studies, competitive battle cards, and product training resources
  • Create co-branded marketing collateral and digital assets that resonate with sponsor audiences
  • Manage partner portal content and ensure CRO teams have access to current marketing materials

Revenue Generation & Pipeline Development

  • Drive qualified lead generation through CRO partner channels targeting pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors
  • Collaborate with CRO business development teams to identify and pursue high-value opportunities
  • Support deal qualification and closure activities by providing marketing intelligence and competitive insights
  • Track and report on partner-sourced pipeline, bookings, and revenue attribution

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor CRO industry trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities
  • Analyze partner performance metrics and optimize programs for maximum ROI
  • Identify emerging CRO partners and assess strategic fit for potential partnerships
  • Provide market feedback to product marketing and sales teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with sales teams to ensure alignment on CRO account strategies
  • Work with product marketing to develop partner-specific messaging and positioning
  • Collaborate with marketing operations to track partner campaign performance and attribution
  • Support customer success teams in managing existing CRO client relationships

Required Qualifications

Experience & Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Life Sciences
  • 5-7 years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in clinical research technology or pharmaceutical services
  • 3+ years of partner/channel marketing experience
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through partner channels
  • Experience working with CROs, pharmaceutical companies, or clinical research organizations strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of clinical trial processes, regulatory requirements, and CRO business models
  • Strong relationship-building skills with ability to influence without authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot)
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Project management skills with ability to manage multiple complex partnerships simultaneously

  • MBA or advanced degree in relevant field
  • Previous experience in clinical data management systems (CDMS) or related clinical technology
  • Established network within the CRO industry
  • Experience with partner relationship management (PRM) platforms
  • Background in business development or sales

Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000
