Hi, I am Rohit, and I’m the Chief Digital Officer at Mejuri. I am looking for a Senior Manager, Digital Product Design to join our growing digital team.We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Digital Product Design at Mejuri, a critical player-coach role to drive the strategic vision for our digital channels, improving brand awareness and product interest through innovative digital experiences. As a design leader, you will oversee the end-to-end design and optimization of Mejuri's digital product solutions (website and mobile app), elevating the user and site experience, improving the site funnel metrics, advocating for a human-centered approach, fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams, and not shying away from getting your hands dirty!
What you'll do
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with different stakeholders (brand, creative, digital product, merchandising, and marketing) to develop a comprehensive design strategy for the website and mobile app vision, ensuring alignment with the company objectives.
- Drive innovative solutions for complex business challenges, leveraging user research, usability testing, and a data-informed approach to decision-making.
- Think strategically about long-term design impacts while considering technical constraints and aligning with business goals.
- Translate consumer insights into actionable strategies to optimize conversion funnels and strengthen Mejuri’s brand distinction.
- Champion continuous improvement in site performance and user experience through hypothesis-driven testing and experimentation.
- Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader in digital design, fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
Design Execution
- Oversee the ideation, development, and delivery of digital product designs, ensuring a seamless and impactful customer journey.
- Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and functional prototypes to effectively communicate and test design ideas.
- Execute with a meticulous focus on holistic flow design, addressing feature details, edge cases, and the needs of cross-functional stakeholders.
- Independently plan and conduct usability tests and research, providing actionable insights to inform the roadmap and improve the customer journey.
- Maintain and govern Mejuri's design system framework, driving systematic design thinking and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring scalable, consistent experiences across all digital touchpoints.
- Champion and enforce accessibility standards throughout our digital ecosystem, ensuring WCAG compliance and inclusive design practices across web and mobile applications.
Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with cross-functional teams throughout the design process and product lifecycle.
- Manage design reviews, presenting concepts and rationale to the cross-functional leadership as needed.
- Serve as an advocate for design excellence, ensuring all deliverables consistently reflect Mejuri’s brand identity and elevate the customer experience.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and grow a talented team of designers, cultivating an environment that supports creativity, collaboration, and professional development.
- Balance hands-on design work with mentorship and leadership, fostering growth within the design team.
- Prioritize workload and manage deadlines effectively, demonstrating the ability to assess the strategic value of initiatives.
- Set a high bar for visual and interaction design, ensuring impeccable attention to detail and alignment with conversion goals.
Key Performance Indicators
- Net Promoter Score (NPS): Measure satisfaction with specific digital touchpoints or experiences, such as checkout, navigation, or product pages.
- Bounce Rate / Time on Site / Session Duration: Track engagement and how effectively the design keeps users interacting with the website.
- Conversion Rate: Measure the percentage of visitors who complete a desired action, such as making a purchase or signing up for an email list.
- Accessibility Compliance: Track adherence to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), ensuring inclusive design.
- Design System Adoption: Measure the percentage of components reused from the design system to ensure consistency and efficiency.
What you'll bring to the team
- Experience and Expertise: Relevant design experience within a fast growing business, ideally with prior experience in e-commerce. A comprehensive portfolio showcasing your UX/UI design process, robust visual skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Notion, Sanity, G-Suite, Linear and Shopify.
- Strong understanding of working with and optimizing design systems, as well as accessibility principles to create inclusive designs.
- Human-Centered Approach: Hands-on experience conducting usability studies and user testing, with the ability to synthesize findings and incorporate feedback into the design process. Demonstrated success in employing a data-informed and data-driven approach to design.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality output, coupled with an agile mindset that thrives in iterative, collaborative, and adaptive environments.
- Problem-Solving and Innovation: A creative and innovative thinker with a problem-solving aptitude for addressing complex design challenges, always staying updated on the latest design trends and bringing fresh perspectives to design solutions.
- Communication and Leadership: Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, with a proven ability to lead and drive design projects from concept to implementation. Regularly shares design rationale and influences stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive and Self-Motivated: A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Demonstrates a commitment to driving the growth and success of design projects and initiatives.
- A minimum of three weeks vacation, plus personal days and three religious observance days.
