Business Developer - Event & Corporate Gifting
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth and expansion of our “Events and Corporate Sales” business. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to create and manage a diverse portfolio of events and offers that align with our brand and resonate with our target audience. In this role you will seek opportunities for Mejuri to be choice partner, for Corporate Gifting and/or Events. You will be a key driver in building strategic partnerships, securing event sponsorships, and maximizing revenue opportunities.
This is a 6 month contract which offers a competitive base salary + commission
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Planning & Development:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for the “Events and Corporate Sales” business, including identifying target audiences, event formats, and revenue models.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the events industry.
- Create a comprehensive event calendar that aligns with the overall marketing and promotional strategy.
- Event Bookings + Management:
- Conceptualize a playbook for events offerings to ensure seamless and low lift pass off to retail teams.
- Manage partner facing portion of event logistics, including pass through of RSVP lists to store teams
- Partnership & Sponsorship Development:
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with relevant businesses and organizations to enhance event offerings and reach.
- Develop and manage corporate offering packages including promotions and bulk discounts to drive revenue.
- Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Identify and pursue opportunities to generate revenue through events, merchandise sales, and other related activities.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to assess ROI and identify areas for improvement.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and corporate partners.
- Gather and analyze feedback to continuously improve event and promotional offerings.
- Budget Management:
- Create and manage pricing and promotion strategies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing ROI.
- Track sales and revenue and provide regular financial reports to management.
What you'll bring to the team
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably within corporate sales function
- Strong Relationship building skills
- Strong network of contacts across corporate and creative industries
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with CRM software and LinkedIn automation tools.
- Ability to analyze data and create reports.
This position requires in office work 3 days a week and remote work 2 days a week. Our office is located at 60 Bloor Street W, Toronto.
