Location: Hybrid in New York City (3 day in-office requirement)
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience working in payments, financial services, or fintech, ideally with exposure to card networks or other money-movement partners.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative working style; able to maintain trustworthy, positive relationships across internal and external teams.
- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks with a sense of ownership, initiative, and follow-through.
- Ability to understand business and product performance, interpret data, and communicate insights clearly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to frame challenges clearly and help partners get aligned.
- Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Organized and attentive to detail ability to understand complex rules and regulations of the various players in the payments ecosystem.
A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:
- Own the day to day relationship with the card networks and ensure that Melio’s products comply with the network’s rules and requirements.
- Support product scoping, integrations and onboarding for card network and money-movement partners, collaborating closely with Product, Legal, Finance, Operations, and go-to-market teams.
- Help explore and evaluate new partnership opportunities in the payments ecosystem by maintaining relationships with established players and emerging fintech or network partners.
- Assist in negotiating and coordinating terms with new payment partners, ensuring integrations and rollouts are set up for success.
- Manage portions of the day-to-day relationship with existing partners—including networks and fintechs—and share insights and updates with internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for improving product performance or unlocking new capabilities through network-focused partnerships
About the Team:
As a Payment Partnerships Manager, you’ll join Melio’s Payment Partnerships team which is part of the broader strategy team, where understanding payment rails, network relationships, and money-movement operations is core to our mission. You’ll help support the commercial strategy and ongoing management of partnerships with the card networks, fintechs, which power Melio’s payment capabilities.
