Senior Payroll Accountant

Tel Aviv

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of payroll accountant experience in high-tech companies.
  • Proficient in utilizing Hilan software for payroll processing - a Must
  • Experience in managing payroll in a high-growth global organization
  • Certified Payroll Controller in Israel
  • Deep knowledge of personal income tax legislation, labor code, and social benefits
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively to deliver timely and high-quality work product
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, service-oriented
  • Ability to work and solve problems independently and to use experience and critical thinking to identify issues that require escalation

Bonus points:

  • Netsuite experience
  • Proficient in English at a high level (both spoken and written)
  • Experience at medium-big companies (more than 250 employees)
  • Workday proficiency - an advantage

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

  • Prepare and support the monthly payroll process (around 400 employees), including termination, processing one-time payments, etc, and deductions.
  • Working closely with the People team regarding onboarding (101 forms), automating the processes, design the integration with HRIS and Hilan, and ad-hoc support.
  • Be the focal point for employees’ payroll inquiries. 
  • Responsible for submitting military service claims to social security.
  • Prepare and review the monthly payroll output, reconcile, prepare JEs for the ERP system, preparing an analytical report
  • Be responsible for submitting 102 reports (social security, pension, tax, etc.)
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all payroll and financial data

The Finance department plays a strategic role in shaping Melio's future. We're deeply involved in product design, fund flow management, financial modeling, and decision-making at the highest levels.
