MeltPlan | Planning Engine for the Built Environment

MeltPlan is building the “planning engine” for the $14 Tn construction industry, an AI system designed specifically to optimize decisions before construction begins. While design software optimizes use and aesthetics and construction software optimizes execution and control, MeltPlan is building the missing layer - software that optimizes decisions and tradeoffs upstream, before scope is locked, procurement begins, and change orders become inevitable. MeltPlan’s long-term goal is to help teams make construction “boring” by making planning more intense: surfacing constraints and tradeoffs early, aligning stakeholders before plans are frozen, and reducing the need for late-stage redlines, rework, and change orders.

MeltPlan is founded by operators who have built at scale. Kanav previously co-founded Innovaccer, a $3Bn health-tech company focused on making US healthcare more affordable and accessible. He’s now applying that systems-level thinking to construction.He’s joined by Tanmaya Kala, former Project Executive at DPR Construction, who led large commercial, healthcare, and life sciences projects. We combine deep tech scale with real construction execution.

What This Role Really Is

This is not a backlog management role.

This is not a “write PRDs and hand off to engineering” role.

This is a product ownership role in the truest sense.

You own the product across:

• Development
• Distribution
• Usage
• And continuous elevation

You are responsible for whether MeltPlan’s product(s) becomes indispensable.

We want someone who thinks like a founder. Ideally, you’ve been one.

You don’t manage tickets.
You drive outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Define product direction alongside founders
• Translate vision into shipped, high-quality features
• Work daily with engineering to make tradeoffs
• Obsess over user workflows and real-world friction
• Sit in customer calls and field deployments
• Ensure features are adopted, not just released
• Refine positioning and messaging with sales + marketing
• Continuously raise the quality bar of the product

You own the loop:
Idea → Build → Ship → Use → Improve → Scale

What We’re Looking For

• Strong product intuition and systems thinking
• Experience building and shipping real products
• Ability to balance speed with long-term architecture
• Comfort making hard tradeoffs with incomplete information
• High ownership mindset

Strong preference for:

• Ex-founders
• Early-stage startup operators
• People who have built from 0 → 1
