Program Managers  Provide clinical and administrative supervision to a multi-disciplinary clinical team responding to mental health related calls with the Denver Police Department.  Provide supervision to ensure efficient team operations. Coordinate team functions and community activities to enhance the quality of treatment consumers receive. Operate within established budgetary guidelines.  Provide direct clinical services in support of line staff as needed for coverage.

SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $100,000 per year

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensure accuracy, quality and efficiency standards are met with regards to medical records standards and case management services for consumers. Advocate appropriate services for consumers.
  2. Identify, implement and monitor customer service standards to ensure team is meeting internal and external customer needs and perform all services in a professional manner.
  3. Participate in the development of long and short term goals for the team that are consistent with program and organizational goals.
  4. Provide direct crisis services responding to mental health related 911 calls to back up line staff.
  5. Coordinate team services with the City and County of Denver and the Denver Police Department.
  6. Coordinate services with other service providers and crisis teams.
  7. Complete performance evaluations timely and provide appropriate coaching and counseling to ensure all employees perform at satisfactory levels, identify when discipline is appropriate.
  8. Participate in the selection process for internal and external candidates for clinical and support positions.
  9. Conduct timely audits to ensure compliance with WellPower policies, State and other regulatory policies regarding clinical care and documentation. Revise and update internal policies.
  10. Assist with the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting needs of the team. Take corrective action as needed to ensure compliance of established budget.
  11. Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
  12. Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.

EDUCATION:  Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or similar field. LCSW or LPC required, CAC II/III preferred, Spanish preferred

EXPERIENCE:  Three years in mental health or human services field; 2+ years supervisory experience required.  Experience in integrated mental health and primary care service and or nursing preferred

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices.
  • Solid customer and community relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise written memos, letters and reports of a complex nature.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to supervise a multi-disciplinary staff.
  • Ability to chart, document, review and present clinical cases to various audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand different cultural needs of consumer and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to coordinate services with the Denver Police Department and other stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of clinical supervision.
  • Solid knowledge of crisis intervention, case management skills and care coordination.
  • Ability to accurately diagnose and assess consumers in crisis and non-crisis situations.
  • Solid knowledge of management applications as they relate to the mental health environment.
  • Ability to create a treatment and/or outcome plan with measurable results. Includes transition and discharge planning.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with internal and external customers.
