This is a hybrid position. The ideal candidate is based in the Greater Philadelphia, Boston, or New York City area and is open to partial commuting and occasional travel for work.

REQUIREMENTS
- Provide strategic direction for initiatives such as outsourcing selection, operating model redesign, technology implementation, M&A analysis, and data governance
- Drive business development efforts, identifying and pursuing new opportunities to expand the firm’s client base
- Provide executive oversight on major client engagements and drive business development within the asset management industry
- Act as the primary point of contact for major projects, collaborating with C-level executives (COO, CTO) to align project outcomes with client goals
- Develop senior advisory relationships, leveraging expertise to convert executive-level interactions into long-term consulting engagements
- Lead program management efforts on engagements, overseeing all day-to-day execution activities
- Present at industry conferences, representing the firm’s expertise and engaging with potential clients
- Develop and maintain project plans, status memos, procedural and operational documentation
- Recruit, mentor, and retain consulting professionals to support the firm’s growth targets
- Ability to travel - you will likely spend a significant amount of time onsite with our clients. This travel can be as much as 50% to 80% of a work week and may be international. In addition, you must have a valid driver's license as many clients are not within range of public transportation.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strategic thinking; transformations are difficult and the ideal candidate will help our clients navigate them successfully
- Highly skilled in presenting ideas and complex concepts to C-suite audiences
- Experience designing, developing and implementing technology solutions in the investment services industry
- Ability to scope, plan, and execute large-scale consulting engagements
- Expertise in cultivating long-term, trust-based relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex initiatives
- Skilled in navigating dynamic client environments and challenging project scenarios
- Experience managing systems implementation and development projects that impact multiple departments and redefine operational processes
- Working knowledge of platforms supporting front, middle, and back-office functions (e.g., OMS, Portfolio Accounting, Performance)
- Proven record of analyzing business processes and developing practical solutions that drive efficiency, improve client service, and reduce risk
- Ability to assess and document business needs including systems, data, integration, workflows, output, reports and the economic/operational impact of each
- Strong analytical and data testing skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Strong functional, technical, and operational expertise of the investment management industry
- In-depth knowledge of leading service provider solutions and technology platforms in the investment management space
- Deep knowledge of front, middle and back-office operations in investment management organizations, with a strong understanding of institutional client reporting
- 15+ years of experience in the asset management industry, with expertise across front, middle, and back-office operations
- Proven track record of success in managing large-scale strategic initiatives, developing operating models, and serving as a thought leader in the financial consulting space
- Proven business development skills, with the ability to identify and secure new consulting opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of a broad range of investment management products including US and global equities, fixed income and derivative products
- Strong track record of thought leadership through publications, white papers, and conference presentations
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
- MBA or Master’s degree (preferred).
- Prior experience in investment management and/or consulting within the industry
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CIPM, CAIA, or PMP (preferred).
- 15+ years of relevant experience in the financial industry
