Job Summary:

The Senior Vice President (SVP), Revenue and Operations is a senior leader at Mercer Advisors. They will partner with the Head of Client Development to maximize the productivity and effectiveness of our sales teams to achieve a 40% increase in year-over-year revenue targets. This position is accountable for enhancing conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and forecasting accuracy by 25%.

Essential Job Functions for this role include:

Sales Program and Revenue Management:

o   Lead pipeline stage process adoption to increase sales pipeline velocity by 20%

o   Drive an increase in prospect-to-client conversion rates at the proposal stage by 25%

o   Accountable for enhancing the pipeline precision to achieve a 25% improvement in forecast accuracy.

o   Develop advanced data modeling techniques to enhance our go-to-market strategy

o   Build a model to automate revenue share fee modifications, reducing time spent by 25%.

Territory Design & Management:

o   Lead territory design and optimization, resulting in a 20% increase in market coverage within the first year

o   Oversee performance management framework for RVPs, including annual target setting

o   Build capacity modeling to identify optimal times for establishing new territories

o   Lead monthly business review to assess coverage, performance of individual markets, branches, and RVPs

o   Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the sales organization through structured feedback loops.

Technology Innovation, Data Oversight, and Reporting:

o   Create, monitor, and analyze sales performance metrics to drive 40% revenue growth year-over-year

o   Collaborate with sales technology and enablement teams to drive outcomes that enhance sales effectiveness and capabilities including executive scorecards, pipeline reporting, and the evolution of our CRM

o   Partner with technology teams to implement effective sales technology and drive 90 - 100% tool adoption

o   Partner with product marketing to build out technology to support Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) in the sales process and maintain a library of centralized resources

o   Increase adoption of sales tools and improve speed of access to them by 50%

Sales Training & Development:
Design and implement periodic training and small group sessions to elevate sales team effectiveness

o   Collaborate with sales leaders and tenured sales team members to draft and document sales playbooks across channel, direct, and community sales groups

o   Organize program training, including development bootcamps for new RVPs and continued development for tenured RVPs as needed

o   Train the sales team on key CRM and pipeline developments to maximize adoption and ensure data hygiene.

o   Lead Innovation. Encourages and leads change through collaboration. For instance, they scale and invest in new ideas, create environments that encourage experimentation, and make people feel safe to share their ideas freely.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 15+ years of developing relationships with sales professionals with specialization building and leveraging technology to influence bottom line results
  •  A client centric sales leader with outstanding presentation and negotiation skills - ability to think dynamically, mentor, manage, listen, persuade, and develop mutually beneficial solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people of all levels
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other applicable business discipline required; Advanced degree in industry (e.g. CFP, CFA) preferred

Work Schedule:

This professional role requires availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with flexibility to work different hours to meet internal and external client needs. This role also requires flexibility to travel. 

Working Conditions:

Professional office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, will be assigned to a workstation, no heavy lifting over 10 lbs.
