Job Summary:

The Broker-Dealer Registered Representative will work in a team-centered “service team” environment under the direct supervision of the President – M.A. Brokerage Solutions to provide high quality support to clients and advisors.  This position involves a deep understanding of multiple brokerage product lines, including Variable Annuities, Mutual Funds, equities and ETF’s. Will oversee the client relationship and must be able to provide educated recommendations to M.A. Brokerage Solutions clients.  This position will be highly visible and will have daily interactions with clients and advisors and will be responsible for the creation of process and procedure for the department.

The ideal candidate will be organized, have outstanding attention to detail, have excellent computer proficiency and will have high-level interpersonal communication skills. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the brokerage industry.

Essential Job Functions for the BD Registered Representative will include:

  • Acting as the relationship manager for clients overseeing their brokerage accounts and acting as the primary point of contact for the service of those accounts.
  • Primary contact for Financial Advisors and support staff.
  • Experience with and ability to learn various technological systems and workflows. This includes multiple CRM, custodial, compliance and supervisory/operational systems.
  • The ability to construct, communicate and document appropriate recommendations for clients.
  • Liaison with other groups and our wealth advisory teams to ensure an exceptional client experience.
  • The ability to work with Mercer investment staff to research and analyze investment offerings to ensure suitability for brokerage clients.
  • Support the ongoing operational initiatives of the M.A. Brokerage Solutions team, collaborating, deconflicting, and coordinating with other departments as necessary.
  • Communicating with approved carriers and custodians, over the phone and via internet, to implement investment recommendations on an accurate and timely basis.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures that are scalable and assure department’s performance standards.
  • Involvement in training associated persons on items related to account maintenance and transactional activity.
  • Building and fostering effective working relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Working independently and with a team, prioritizing client service, and succeeding in a fast-paced environment
  • Other project work as assigned by Management, including but not limited to work in support of insurance system integration and efficiencies with affiliated investment advisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • FINRA Series 7 & LH/VA Insurance Licensing
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in providing recommendations in a brokerage environment.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills in a high-volume, high energy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of and the ability to analyze investment and finance concepts.
  • Strong computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • An unwavering commitment to integrity and Code of Conduct
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
  • Versed in managing internal and external information flows and storage.
  • Client first attitude including a passion for providing an excellent client experience.
  • Team player, collaborative and able to work in concert with others.

Work Schedule:  Day and evening hours as needed

Working Conditions:

Professional office environment, daytime and evening hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, no heavy lifting over 10 lbs.
