Our Trust Operations Team provides a high level of service and support to our Wealth Management Team. The
Trust Operations Team also acts as liaison between Client Service Unit (CSU) and Kanaly Trust Services (a TRO for
National Advisors Trust Company) to ensure multi‐transactional and money movement requests are completed in
an accurate and timely manner. Responsibilities include processing and monitoring CSU related requests and
research for internal and external clients, accurately setup and process receipts and disbursements, request new
unique asset paperwork and maintain pricing, prepare operational reports and performing quality control reviews
and reconciliations.

The Trust Operations Specialist will be performing multiple trust operations functions relying on experience,
independent judgement, and discretion to accomplish personal and team goals with minimal supervision. The 
Trust Operations Specialist will provide internal user support, training and problem solving on the trust accounting
system and all operational responsibilities, as well as providing hands‐on processing and Client Service Specialist
support. They will investigate and resolve questions regarding all aspects related to daily operational
responsibilities.


Major areas of Responsibilities:

Assists with client tax reporting working with tax reporting vendor TRO Partner on the following:

    •  Facilitate Agent for Trustee and Foundation return preparation, maintain tax log and process tax
      payments.
    • Coordinate tracking and delivery of all tax documents
    • Facilitate resolution of IRS reporting issues
    • Interim tax code review

  • Serves as quality control point to ensure that all calls, transactions, maintenance changes, policy and
    procedures for customer requests have been adhered to in accordance with compliance requirements and
    Trust Operations Internal Guidelines
  • Facilitate new custody account setups at TRO Partner monitoring timeliness and accuracy of system setup
  • Write and/or enhance work instructions and procedures ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
    and company policies
  • Cross train to serve as back‐up to other team members
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Competencies:

  • Experienced with trust accounting platforms with advanced comprehension to solve unusual as well as
    common application questions, and to serve as a resource on the subject for others in the organization.
  • Understanding of trust industry and operations concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to think and communicate strategically.
  • Understanding the importance of delivering high quality client service to the various components of Mercer
    Advisors; commitment to accuracy and quality controls required and follow through to ensure that client
    needs are met.
  • Ability to understand and identify risk.
  •  Comfortable working in a fast paced, high-volume environment and stay organized to perform and prioritize
    multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel skills required to prepare financial
    reports, presentations, and spreadsheets.

Experience:

  •  Minimum five years’ experience in trust industry.
  • Five years in client servicing.
  • Experience in various elements of processing and quality assurance.

Education:

  •  College degree and/or relevant work experience
