Job Summary:

The Head of Share of Wallet (SOW) Commercialization is a pivotal leadership role at Mercer Advisors, charged with accelerating our commercial growth strategy through the empowerment of our advisors. This role is not just about enablement—it’s about transformation.  This role is a cornerstone of Mercer Advisors’ enterprise growth strategy, designed to transform how advisors engage clients, activate data, and deliver commercial outcomes.  We need a visionary leader who can translate data into action, insights into outcomes, and advisor potential into measurable growth.

This person will act as a strategic integrator across Technology, BI, Investment Strategy, and Wealth Solutions to ensure advisor-facing initiatives are cohesive, scalable, and impactful.  Their mission: to unlock share of wallet opportunities and drive gross accumulation by equipping advisors with the tools, insights, and coaching they need to deliver exceptional value to clients.


This role demands executive presence, strategic acumen, and deep field credibility.  This is a high-impact, high-visibility position that requires both analytical rigor and emotional intelligence. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable in the boardroom and in the field—able to influence strategy at the highest levels while inspiring advisors to elevate their commercial performance.  The Director will be a trusted advisor to advisors—able to influence at the highest levels while driving results on the ground.

 

Essential Job Functions for this role include:

Advisor Coaching & Enablement

  • Champion a culture of commercial excellence by modeling and reinforcing best-in-class practices for identifying and capturing wallet share.
  • Deliver high-impact coaching that enhances advisor fluency in client engagement and commercial storytelling.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to advisors, helping them navigate complex client dynamics with confidence and clarity.
  • Identify and close gaps in product knowledge, data fluency, and advisor readiness.

Commercial Strategy Execution

  • Lead and design the execution of enterprise-wide initiatives focused on wallet share expansion and asset accumulation.
  • Define and track success metrics that reflect both advisor adoption and client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Field Enablement, Marketing, and Product to ensure alignment across messaging, tools, and campaigns.

Process & Playbook Development

  • Architect scalable, repeatable frameworks that enable advisors to consistently deliver commercial value.
  • Develop and deploy enablement materials that are intuitive, actionable, and aligned with field realities.
  • Partner with Technology and Data teams to ensure seamless integration of tools into advisor workflows.

Technology-Driven Activation & Insight Translation

  • Translate complex analytics into field-ready insights that drive advisor action.
  • Collaborate with BI and product teams to deliver segmented, personalized insights by advisor, market, and opportunity.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement of data tools to enhance advisor usability and impact.

Feedback Loop & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish a robust feedback loop between the field and the home office to inform strategy, product development, and enablement priorities.
  • Monitor adoption and effectiveness of enablement tools, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the voice of the advisor in cross-functional forums, ensuring that field needs are heard and addressed

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, or Operations.
  • CFP required
  • At least five years of experience in wealth management, sales enablement, or advisor coaching.
  • Strong understanding of share of wallet dynamics and client relationship growth.
  • Experience with CRM and portfolio analytics platforms.
  • Fluency in business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Success Metrics

  • Increase in gross accumulation through share of wallet opportunities.
  • Advisor adoption and usage of enablement tools and workflows.
  • Timely and actionable reporting for leadership and field teams.
  • Improved advisor confidence and effectiveness in commercial conversations.

 

Work Schedule:

This professional role requires availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

 

Working Conditions:

Professional office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, will be assigned to a workstation.
